Ranjeet Singh, the traffic constable who rose to fame by choreographing elaborate dance moves including Michael Jackson-style moonwalks while directing traffic in Indore, once enjoyed widespread praise and social media stardom. Millions followed him online, and his entertaining approach earned him recognition beyond the city’s borders.
However, his public image took a turn after a woman from Mumbai shared a series of Instagram videos accusing him of inappropriate communication. According to her account, Singh approached her online, offered friendship, and allegedly suggested she come to Indore, even mentioning travel and accommodation arrangements prompting her to speak out publicly.
Police Take Action
Following the allegations, Indore police launched a departmental inquiry into Singh’s conduct. The investigation concluded that Singh would be demoted from his acting head constable rank and returned to his original position as a constable. The decision was officially confirmed by senior officials as part of enforcing discipline within the force.
Before the probe wrapped up, Singh had already been taken off active field duty and attached to the police lines, a standard procedure during internal reviews.
